Let me introduce myself...

Hey I'm Bri! I'm a Spotify playlist curator, hybrid gym rat, allergen-free chef, and user experience architect. It's nice to meet you!

I've worked as an unofficial UX designer for the past 3 years for a government funded non-profit. My weekly routine consists of receiving feedback from the field, spec'ing out UX/UI development tickets, and meeting weekly with our contracted software engineers. Ensuring our system is intuitive, accessible, and user-focused (while ensuring legal compliance) is our priority.

What about design makes me tick?

Many things in life change, but my desire to help people is the exception. As a kid, I thought it was through surgery in a hospital. In college, I thought it would be through criminal justice reform. For the past three years, it's been user experience design! Being able to help people through design allows me to combine my analytical, logical, and creative skills to create something tangible that solves an existing problem.

Life outside design

When screen time is over, I am either practicing guitar, connecting with friends and family, pumping iron, or watching women's basketball (Go Dallas Wings & SC Gamecocks!). I track my goals and habits in journals and like to start my day off with homemade bagels. I aim for a fulfilling life full of personal and professional growth both in front of a screen and away from it.

You know, I think introductions go both ways...
